Focus is on developing business opportunities with companies currently not transacting business with TSLPL.
Role is responsible for lead generation, relationship management, opportunity identification and closing of deals.
BD Manager will align activities to support the strategic initiatives and will play a lead role in designing solutions for prospects.
Solutions will be comprised of these key initiatives
Expansion of services (air and ocean freight forwarding, order management services, land transport and contract logistics).
Role requires previous experience and knowledge of solutions consulting and design principles and methodologies, preferably in the logistics or consulting markets.
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Plan and conduct sales calls, including:
Developing a sales-call plan and call specific objectives and materials
Conduct face-to-face calls with customers at all levels in their organization
Following up on commitments and issues that arise during sales calls
Communicate on customer and competitive developments that relate to assigned sales territory
Identify potential customers in each line of business
Develop and maintain sales territory marketing plan
Manage sales leads
Develop and implement a strategy to maintain and increase business with each account (existing and potential) in sales territory
Secure appointments with key middle and senior management to understand business conditions and future opportunities
Achieve and maintain the data integrity of assigned accounts according to the established processes, which include updating of calendars, pipeline data, customer profile information contact data through data aggregator service and/or direct contact; removal of duplicate data; incorporating market intelligence; etc.
Coordinate sales effort with the sales management, marketing, regional offices, finance, etc.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in local trade, professional and civic associations as a representative of the company; reviews professional publications establishes networks
Lead/Participate in the post sales implementation team, including preparation of the account specific Implementation Action Plan with the new customer
