Job Overview

This is a pivotal role, partnering with the business to drive the quality, consistency and creativity of our pitch/pursuit and business development efforts. You will have a strong and natural understanding of what makes a winning pitch, supporting and challenging teams as you lead them through all aspects of the process. 

You will be responsible for the coordination, management and execution of all major pitch opportunities and help to implement workable, value-add solutions for the quality of pitches that you are not personally involved in. This is an exciting role for a committed and dynamic individual to use their creative flair to energise our approach to winning business and, ultimately, improve our success rates and partner in the growth of our business.

Essential duties:

Take a leading role on the preparation and delivery of high value, strategic pitches 

Manage all aspects of the pitching process from start to finish

Clarification of opportunities go-no-go, resource planning

Influence and advise around team selection

Chair and facilitate meetings

Work with teams to develop a client focused pitch strategy, providing an independent perspective

Work with teams to devise key messages and develop new and innovative techniques to convey them to the client in the form of a compelling story

Run pitch rehearsals and provide presentation coaching for team members 

Create content. This can include any or all of the following; writing, editing, proof reading, harmonisation or customisation 

Production of proposal and presentation materials. This may take the form of an oversight and partnership role with design colleagues, or at times, a more hands on production role.

Liaise and manage internal and external suppliers and resources related to the function

Provide a consistent level of service and maintain high standards of excellence

Enhance and grow the understanding of the Pitch Management function, and raise the profile of both self, and broader regional team.

Business education around best in class pitching

Further implement and drive the companies established best practice approach and philosophy Finishing First making it a consistent way of life for all

Infrastructure development and implementation to equip the business with valuable self-service tools to ensure a quality output across all pitches including customised checklists, content templates and other resources by business line.

Responsibility for measuring pitch success and gathering associated metrics

Analysing post-pitch client feedback and best-practice sharing across the business in partnership with Sales Management and Client Care functions to maintain a robust system for quality client engagement and management.

Partner Sales Management, Client Care and the respective in-business champions to set up, manage and maintain the knowledge management/centre of excellence platform for Singapore to ensure currency, quantity and quality of materials to deliver speed to market and alignment to overarching business strategy.

Support Sales Management and Client Care functions to develop and maintain the firms system for tracking clients, market, competitor and industry movements.

Support Sales Management in ensuring the currency of information on SalesForce and all other technology platforms as relevant.

Key requirements

Experience

Strong educational background degree qualified in relevant field

A solid employment history with a minimum 7 years proven experience in pitch/bid/business development environment is essential

Strong business acumen and a proven track record of success, having worked on and helped win sizable opportunities

Demonstrable project management experience necessary

Demonstrable change management experience highly regarded

Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation 

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, and knowledge of Adobe CS desirable

Experience working on Salesforce, SharePoint an added advantage

Experience in a professional services company preferred, and in commercial real estate ideal.

Background and experience in training and development highly regarded

Strong background in writing essential
