Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages software development and maintenance projects with development team.
Assesses scope and timelines for incoming projects.
Performs software development, as part of the development team.
Manages and monitors the performance of development team for quality assurance, and ensures that timelines are met.
Provides technical assistance to resolve user issues.
Assists the Director in determining critical milestones and in finding the appropriate solutions.
Responsible for contacting users to obtain confirmation and verification of work orders received, assigning the jobs to the development team, and performing follow-up investigation.
Seeks ways to improve the operation and provides management with productivity reports.
Establishes priorities which meet the departmental goals and objectives, and identifies areas of improvement.
Demonstrates leadership ability.
Relays results of weekly staff meetings either verbally or in writing.
Provides training and support for students, post docs and staff working on development, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
