Job Overview

The person is expected to provide effective leadership, communication, technical expertise, direction and prioritization of work to technical project resources, both internal and external, to facilitate timely delivery of commitments/ tasks/ deliverables in support of the implementation plan and ensure successful project implementation. Frequently responsible for mentoring, coaching and contributing to the development of peers and other team members. 

Collaborate and provide leadership/ expertise to team members ensuring implementation activities are aligned with Architectural Objectives. Responsible for the technical correctness and completeness of integrated systems designs and artifacts. Ensure that engineering and build activities are completed within agreed time lines and with the highest quality. Verify that designs/ builds are validated and that appropriate testing and quality reviews have been conducted, signed-off on, and adhere to defined standards. 

Develop and execute a comprehensive implementation plan incorporating key deliverables, resource plans, milestones, accountabilities, communication plans and completion time lines. Create, maintain, and distribute a project dashboard to ensure the tracking and status of deliverables is managed appropriately. Provide regular status reports and pro-active communication to the implementation team, stakeholders and technology leadership on plan progress throughout the implementation life cycle. 

Escalate and participate in the resolution of high priority issues that may impact the ability to deliver a quality implementation project according to plan. Create, continually analyze, and update the risk management plan during the course of the implementation. Lead and participate in regular post-implementation reviews and present projects metrics to assist with evaluation of project quality. 

Participate with the architecture and governance group in the strategic design process to identify additional integration opportunities. Utilize performance data and historical metrics to effectively plan for growth needs, plan upgrades, migrations, optimizations, new implementations, and identify and resolve efficiency issues to improve overall functionality. 

Champion and provide thought leadership in the continual refinement of integration related processes, policies and best practices to ensure optimal availability of technologies. Promote re-use and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes/ tools. Responsible for the validation and adherence to defined standards. Ensure ongoing improvements align with standard service management principles (e. g. ITIL) and technology Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods. 

Continuously develop technical subject matter expertise by remaining apprised of industry trends, the direction of emerging technologies, and their potential value to the business. Effectively present the value proposition of business-appropriate emerging technologies to technology leadership. 

Manage the governance and service delivery processes for the following utilities: ETL, MFT, DataPower, MQ/ MB, VFTP02, Data Migratioin

10-13 years of systems design and implementation experience in many of the following technologies and technologies platforms:

ETL technologies (Informatica/ Datastage/ Ab-initio or any other ETL tool) 

Databases (Oracle/ MSSQL/ Teradata/ DB2) 

Data Modelling

Data Base architecture design. 

IBM WMB/ MQ/ IIB, Sterling integrator.
